I regret to inform you that the NWMA meeting scheduled for October 20 and 21 in Minden, Nevada has been postponed until spring. With the new COVID 19 restrictions, many people will not be able to attend in person, and after researching the virtual option, NWMA cannot make that happen in an affordable manner.
We hope to reschedule in the Spring when (hopefully) meeting restrictions are reduced, and we are also hoping to join another group with related interests to enable greater information sharing.
I am sorry we have to do this, I was looking forward to it.
On a related note, we were going to have elections at the meeting. Currently we have one nomination for President, Sean Gephart, and we are looking for nominations for Treasurer. Dave Voth is also on the slate for Board member. If anyone would like to submit a nomination, or is interested in any of these positions, please let me know at paul.ryan@usda.gov.
Nominations will close September 30, and the election will be held online on October 21.
Thanks for your patience and assistance.
Ed Ryan
